TOU and/or "action" rules for SelfUse mode
It would be good if I could set the charging power in SelfUse mode at specific times in TOU mode. Today one can only set “Minimum SOC” for SelfUse.
It would be great to mainly charge the battery during midday to prevents the battery from being fully charged by mid-morning. This leads to grid-friendly charging or to improved efficiency, as energy generated by oversize (more DC-power from solar panels then max AC generator power) can be utilized.
Suggestion: In TOU tool, it should be possible to set the charging power and SOC in SelfUse mode at specific times.
To do this, three parameters would need to be available in TOU for SelfUse mode:
- Time (From - Till)
- SOC (From - Till)
- Charging Power (or Current).
This would allow you to set the charging power for each time period, e.g.
Rule 1) morning (5-11): SelfUse mode, SOC 10-30% -> 2000 W (=> charge fast if SOC < 30% in the morning)
Rule 2) morning (5-11): SelfUse mode, SOC 30-50% -> 500 W (=> charge slowly till midday if SOC > 30%)
Rule 3) midday (11-14): SelfUse mode, SOC 10-90% -> 2000 W (=> charge fast from midday till SOC 90%)
Rule 4) midday (11-14): SelfUse mode, SOC 90-100% -> 0 W
Rule 5) afternoon (14-5): SelfUse mode (without parameters / default).
If Default Charging parameter are:
- “Max Charge Current”=6A (~2000 W @350V)
- “Charger upper limit (%)”=90
=> then Rule 3 and 4 are not necessary and instead Rule 5) could look like:
midday (11-5): SelfUse mode (without parameters / default).
